Skin boosters at our Kent clinic

Skin boosters are injectables that improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance. Skin booster treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid which is a soft, gel-like substance under the skin, which improves the skins elasticity, firmness and radiance giving an overall glow and rejuvenation. Our Sculpt n Lift clinic offers Sunekos and Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment. Read more here.

Skin boosters are a fantastic option for anyone looking to improve the quality and appearance of their skin. They are beneficial to people of all ages from 18+. Aside from being used on the face they can be used on different areas of the body to revitalise the skin. At Sculpt n Lift we offer the following skin boosters; Sunekos and Viscoderm Hydrobooster.

Skin boosters vs dermal filler:

Both products are made of hyaluronic acid, however a filler is a thicker solution with strong cross links. A skin booster is more water based with the ability to spread and encapsulate moisture in the skin. Skin boosters are deamed a more natural treatment as they don't enhance and sculpt, although they still help plump the skin and deminish fine lines. Patients benefit from both, often using a filler to shape and lift and a skin booster to smooth and hydrate.

Sunekos

Sunekos is ideal for those who want to restore the naturally youthful look of your skin and improve signs of ageing. Sunekos is an injectable treatment that is entirely differnt to filler treatments; this treatment uses a patened formula which combines amino acods (the essential building blocks of elastin and collagen) with hylauranic acid. The result of Sunekos is a reduction in the severity of your wrinkles, hydration to both the superficial and deep layers of your skin. Sunekos 200 vs Sunekos 1200:

There are two types of Sunekos; Sunekos 200 and Sunekos 1200. Sunekos 1200 is typically used to treat deeper wrinkles ans sagging skin, while Sunekos 200 is more suitable for treating fine lines and wrinkles. Before your treatment the pracitioner carrying out the treatment will advise what Sunekos is best suited to you.

Sunekos is a four part treatment; having a session every 7-10 days apart. Each of the four sessions is an important part of the treatment process and your entire treatment woll not be complete until all sessions are completed. We advise you come back for a single top up treatment every 4-6 months. This treatment will require a pre-assesment and only takes around 30 minutes. There is very little evidence that procedure has taken place with Sunekos.  As with all injectables treatment there is a risk of mild swelling and bruising at the site of injection - If this is present it will be very minor and barely noticeable.

What makes Sunekos different to Profhilo?

There are a few differences between Sunekos and Profhilo. Their forms are very different; Sunekos being liquid and Profhilo being a gel-like substance. They also differ in regard to where the product can be used, for instance Sunekos is known for being able to be used around the eyes, on the forehead,  around the mouth and on hands.  Where as Profhilo isn't liscened to be used in these areas.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is an injectable hyaluronic acid product that has been formulated to improve the skins elasticity, hydration and radiance. It smooths superficial lines and wrinkles caused by dramatic facial expressions and visible signs of ageing. Viscoderm Hydrobooster has two functions which both help to stretch superficial wrinkles in a natural way, resulting in its unique hydrostretch action. Action one; deep hydration. Improving elasticity, radiance and smoothness of the skin. Action two; tissue restructuring. Stretching superficial wrinkles for those with moderate to advanced signs of ageing. For best results we reccommend 2 treatments, 8 weeks apart. Followed by a single session every 6 months. There is very little evidence that procedure has taken place with Viscoderm Hydrobooster.  As with all injectables treatment there is a risk of mild swelling and bruising at the site of injection - If this is present it will be very minor and barely noticeable.

What is the difference between Viscoderm Hydrobooster and Profhilo?

Profhilo mostly treats mid and lower face 'laxity', injecting 5 points each side of the face - also known as the 5 point face lift. Viscoderm is injected superficially into all the fine lines and wrinkles over the face including upper, mid and lower face. Viscoderm Hydrobooster offers deep hydration and leaves skin looking radiant which is similar to Profhilo, expect Viscoderm Hydrobooster can treat all areas where as Profhilo cannot. As well as it offering a 'stretching' of skin opposed to a plumping effect that Profhilo gives.

  • Improving elasticity, radiance and smoothness of the skin

  • Stretching superficial wrinkles for those with moderate to advanced signs of ageing

  • Great for treating areas around the eyes and forehead

  • Biorestructuring activity prolonged over time
